The Ctenanthe Burle-Marxii 'Obscura' is the darker, more dramatic cultivar of the beloved Fishbone Prayer Plant. Where the standard Burle-Marxii offers pale grey-green leaves, 'Obscura' turns up the contrast with deeper, richer green tones and more pronounced dark fishbone patterning — a true collector's variant that commands attention in any plant collection. Like all Ctenanthe, it performs its nightly leaf-folding ritual, adding a living, breathing quality to your space.

• Light: Medium to bright indirect light; avoid direct sun which will fade the deep colouring
• Water: Keep soil evenly moist; allow the top 1–2 cm to dry slightly between waterings — use filtered or rainwater to avoid fluoride sensitivity
• Humidity: Prefers 60%+ humidity; ideal near a humidifier or in a bathroom setting
• Soil: Well-draining, moisture-retentive mix (coco coir or peat based)
• Temperature: 18–27°C; protect from cold drafts and air conditioning
